As a director, Kristof Luyckx is represented in the UK by Agile Films.
As an illustrator, Kristof Luyckx is represented in France by Valérie Oualid, and in
the Netherlands by Shop Around.


BIOGRAPHY

Kristof Luyckx is born in 1981 and lives/works in Ghent (Belgium).

He graduated in visual arts at Sint-Lucas Ghent:
• Advertisement Design – bachelor degree, 2002
• Multimedia (graphic design & animation) – master degree, 2004
• Illustration – master degree, 2006

At the end of his studies, Kristof got the opportunity to start working in an agency as a
motion designer and illustrator. He worked for 3 years on commercials, tv-idents,
program titles, logos, print campaigns, etc…

Kristof did many projects for a famous Belgian youth tv-channel, where he did the
character design, graphic design and animation for various tv-idents, program titles,
and all sorts of promo stuff (such as gigantic inflatable dolls of his characters).
One of his last projects in that agency was the launch of a new Belgian kids tv-channel,
where he designed the logo and did the design/animation of a series of tv-idents and
program titles. (None of this is shown on this site.)

After this experience, Kristof started working in 2009 as a freelance director, illustrator,
motion designer and animator to work on commercial and personal projects.
His work is often inspired by music, movies, photography, books, weird people, HBO,
fauna & flora, small talk, boring stuff, cats, robots & facial hair.
